Remarks on the plan for Hotel Jugoslavija

In the period from 11.09. until 25.09.2023. an early public inspection of the Detailed Regulation Plan for block 11 and part of block 10, of the Municipalities of Zemun and Novi Beograd, is underway.

The area around Hotel Jugoslavija, as well as the hotel itself, represent a historical and cultural heritage of great importance for the citizens of Belgrade, but also a space in which they currently enjoy, rest, run, bike ride and spend quality time together.

In the text of the Elaborate, it is stated that the hotel suffered major damage during the bombing and that as such it cannot be repaired, but that the idea is to build a new 240 square meters. These are two towers with a height of 000 meters, which will completely visually, spatially and usefully change this area. For illustration purposes, the 155m tower is the same height as the West 155 tower.

The plan covers 11,73 hectares, i.e. block 11 and part of block 10. This is a huge area located in a very attractive location for investors, but no one has asked the citizens if they want skyscrapers there or perhaps a public space that they will use together.

You need to sign as an applicant and leave your contact phone number and email address, so that the Secretariat can contact you. Of course, you can also write your own remarks and send them to the same address. They don't have to be professional, and they can be questions and suggestions, how do you think that plan will affect that space and whether it contributes to the community.

September 25 is also the deadline for objections, so it's important to send them by that date. This is our joint opportunity to participate in city planning and we should make the most of it.
