THE COLLECTIVE MINISTRY OF SPACE WON THE SECOND PRIZE AT THE SALON OF URBANISM
The Ministry of Spatial Collective today won the second prize in the publication category at this year's Salon of Urbanism, held in Bijeljina.
The award-winning publication "Green infrastructure in urban planning" investigates the state and challenges in the planning and development of green infrastructure in Belgrade. It provides an analysis of the regulatory framework, public policies and urban practices, highlighting inconsistencies in the planning and maintenance of green spaces.
Special emphasis was placed on the participation of citizens and the existing state of the city's greenery. It contains recommendations for the improvement of the legal and planning framework, as well as the maintenance of green infrastructure. The publication is the result of cooperation between experts and local organizations, with the aim of integrating the concept of green infrastructure into the urban planning of a healthier and more sustainable Belgrade.
The authors of the publication are Slavica Čepić, Milena Marković, Bozena Stojić, Olga Andrić, Ivan Simić, Ana Šabanović, Aleksandra Vukićević and Ivana Pavlović, published by the Ministry of Space. Editors: Bozena Stojić, Olga Andrić and Iva Čukić.
The promotion of the publication will take place on Tuesday, November 12.11.2024, 18. at 26 p.m. in the premises of the Ministry of Space in Belgrade, at the address Kondina XNUMX, Stari grad. On this occasion, everyone will be able to pick up a copy, while supplies last.
In addition to the promotion, there will also be a conversation with local groups who are the first in the line of defense when it comes to greenery in Belgrade. They will share their experiences, the obstacles they face and if and how they overcome them.
Some of the questions that will be thematized are - What is the importance of public green space in the immediate environment for the community? How is the local community mobilized? How are key messages formulated and conveyed and alternative narratives constructed? How to position yourself against the institutions? What does association with similar local groups bring? What happens after the "rescue" of the green area, how is it managed?
This conversation will certainly be inspiring to many who are in a similar problem, and unfortunately there are too many of them in Belgrade. Registration for the event is not required and admission is free.
